Temperatures in Australia Reach Record Highs

Australia is currently experiencing a nationwide heatwaves, in the southern states temperatures in the outback have climbed as high as a sweltering 48 degrees. The average temperature across the country was 39 degrees with many areas reaching temperatures in the 40s.

Bush fires have broken out in several states but luckily no injuries have been reported. This heatwave is due to last approximately six days so Australians will have to brace themselves to endure some more record breaking heat.
